VTU Revaluation Rules:

Since majority of VTU Results 2016 had been announced lately. I bet most you people have been disappointed by your results as always. Results of MBA, MCA, B.E 5th to 8th sem as well as M.Tech had been already declared soon VTU 3rd sem results 2016 and VTU 1st sem results 2016 will be announced soon.

I’m sure if you are reading this post means then you are willing to apply for the Revaluation for some or all of your papers excluding practical papers absolutely. I have seen people getting absolutely nothing after revaluation as well as getting as much as 30-40 marks after Revaluation. Basically it all depends on the evaluator as well as how you had performed in that particular subject. Let’s come to the main topic, the biggest concern as of now for any VTU before applying for Revaluation is,

Will my marks get reduced after applying for Revaluation?

The answer for the question is both Yes as well as No.

VTU Revaluation Rules:

VTU Revaluation RulesLet me first tell you for whom the marks will NOT get reduced after revaluation:
If you are a student of 2010 Scheme then don’t need to worry. You can go ahead and apply for revaluation if you feel you have got less marks in some subjects.

For example,
1. If you got 37 marks in current results and if you get 33 marks after revaluation then your revaluation result will be 37 marks only.

2. If you got 50 marks in current results and if you get 70 marks after revaluation then your revaluation result will be 70 marks.

But,
If you are a first year student joined under 2016 CBCS scheme:

For students under CBCS scheme will get the final marks after revaluation as your result irrespective of whether you get less then before or you failed after revaluation.

Illustration 1:

Original Marks: 40
Revaluation Marks: 35
Final Marks after Revaluation: 35

Illustration 2:
If a passed candidate applied for revaluation and fails to secure the minimum prescribed marks for passing during the revaluation such candidate will be declared as failed since the marks got decreased after revaluation.

This Amendment is only applicable for the students admitted to CBCS scheme during academic year 2015-2016.
